It happened in December 2010. So now your dog has to communicate to you over radio, because you don't hear his words or even see him try to utter them, and all his things are invisible by net virtuality, and unluckily his appearance is very affected by hologramics. All animals are covered from tip to toe in hologramics, which are made from moving drawn pictures created by terrorists. So this will end only when the deeds of terrorists are cleaned up. All their criminal equipment must be turned off, and all internet currency must be turned off. And it is not easy. Net currency used for invisibility is produced by nuclear plants, and there is a lot of them everywhere in the world, many buried very well under ground.
It is important to know that almost every owner of an animal talks to them only on the radio, unless he is unregistered as a citizen and therefore not affected by terroristic technologies as much as all registered citizens. And almost nobody can anymore view real appearance of animals around him or see their things. But the world used to be normal, so this crazy situation will one day end.
